Google seems willing to reduce the gap between Gemini on the web and its mobile counterpart more and more, according to what emerged from the analysis of the last beta of the Google app for Android (version 16.31.75.sa.arm64), soon also Gemini on smartphones could Offer all Canvas options, so far only available via browser.

A change that, if confirmed, will allow you to create apps, quizzes, infographics, web pages and audio panoramas directly from the Gemini app, without having to go to Chrome or from a PC.

All Canvas tools soon available in the Gemini app

Introduced at the beginning of the year, Gemini Canvas represented an important step in Google’s ability to work on long documents, generating and modifying texts, code or multimedia content in a contextual way; On the web the user can already start from a document and transform it into various formats, from the curriculum to a complete site, with a few clicks.

Until today, however, On Android these functions were not natively integratedthe only way to access it was to open the web version of Gemini or use the Chrome browser, an uncomfortable passage especially for those who work from mobile.

Based on what is identified, the interface of the Gemini app will show the same selection of creative options already present on Desktopbut optimized for touch use and immediately reachable by a dedicated menu.

Once activated, the function will allow you to create web pages directly from a canvas document, generate interactive quizzes or evaluation tests, produce infographics and visual content ready for sharing, create interactive apps or tools without intermediate passages; All by exploiting the power of Gemini’s cloud, with the convenience of no longer having to change platform.

At the moment Google has not communicated official dates for the public release, the function is present in the Beta code but is not yet visible for users; Given the apparent simplicity of the implementation, it is likely that the Rollout can take place in the coming months, perhaps in conjunction with the other Gemini updates on Android.

We will therefore have to wait a little longer, but the arrival of full canvas in the mobile version represents an important step towards a equality of functions between the web and apps and, above all, towards a truly creation experience without interruption.
