In May we told you about the story linked to the app Italian post office that would soon incorporate the apps BancoPosta And Postepay. The first of the two apps already has greeted the company on June 30th and is in fact no longer available on the official stores.
For the second, however, the timing suggested by the Poste Italiane group were vague and talked about “next months”. Now, however, we have a date that will sanction the definitive disposal also for this other app of the group.
The Postepay App has an official “expiry date”
Consulting the official website of the Poste Italiane Group, in the section “Poste Italiane app” (reachable through this link) it is possible to note a disclaimer that reads the following:
Italian post office, there is one apps
Since last June 30, the Poste Italiane app has replaced the BancoPosta app and from 9 October it will also replace the Postepay App.
In the new single app you will find the services of the Poste Group: accounts, cards, savings, light, gas, telephony, insurance, mail, parcels And much more.
To access you just insert the Poste.it credentials or, if you still still have the BancoPosta app or the Postepay app, use them to authorize access. It is not necessary to create a new account, nor generate and remember new passwords.
Download the app and follow the instructions: it will be immediately ready for use, with your profile and your products.
The official “expiry date” for the Postepay App is therefore set in 9 October 2025: after that date, as already happened to the app Posta Banco From 30 June 2025, it will no longer be possible to download the app and all operations can only be carried out by the single appItalian post office Which, on Android devices, can be downloaded through the Google Play Store (just make a tap on the underlying badge and select “Install”).
All unchanged until 9 October 2025
At the time of drafting this article (and until 9 October 2025), the Postepay app will still be functional and allows you to manage PosteMobile SIMs and the ultra -very Posttecasa fiber until its disposal.
The same operations can already be carried out through the Single Italian App, designated by the group as a single app for all services. It will not be necessary to create a new account but just take advantage of the credentials already active on the website or with the same credentials used for the Postepay app and, until 30 June last, for the Banco Posta App.
