After weeks of waiting and an initially limited availability only to the United States, Xai announced that Grok’s official app is finally available for Italian users on Android devices; This is an important step, which also allows our country to directly access one of the most discussed artificial intelligence tools of the moment, developed by the company of Elon Musk and already at the center of numerous controversies.
Grok’s app arrives in Italy for Android users
Italian users can now download the Grok app directly from the Google Play Store, without having to resort to workaround or to the web version included in the popular social network X; The experience proposed by XAI follows that already seen abroad, a chatbot with textual and vocal responses, access to the generation of images through Grok Image (including the spicy mode that has made so much discussion) and the possibility of quickly converting an image into a short animated video.
In addition, Grok on Android integrates some of the news presented with version 4 of the chatbot, including a reduction in latency in the responses and five new items for voice interaction.

The Italian debut arrives at a time when Grok is at the center of global attention, on the one hand for the optimistic declarations of Musk, according to which Xai’s IA would be the smartest ever created, on the other for the controversial episodes linked to extremist content or NSFW generated by users; Despite this, curiosity is very high, just think that only a few days ago Musk said that over 34 million images were generated through Grok Imagine in a few hours.
To download the app, simply look for Grok on the Google Play Store, once the software is installed, it requires login with an X account or to create a new one (also by email); At the moment it is not clear whether all features will be available for free for Italian users, or if some remain reserved for the subscribers of the Premium Plus and Supergrok plans.
With the launch in Italy Grok takes another step to become a global player in the artificial intelligence sector, the unknowns remain many (from the use of the spicy mode to integration with Tesla cars) but it is clear that Musk points to accelerating international expansion, also to keep up to competitors such as Google Gemini and Openai chatgpt.
For those who are interested in testing the app, discovering firsthand if Grok will really be able to keep the promises made by Musk, we leave you below the badge for the Google Play Store.
