Complete expressive Redesign for Fitbit App on Pixel Watch

Users in possession of a Pixel Watch can count on a new app dressed in the fees of the Material 3 Expressive. As anticipated at the opening, the Fitbit app for Wear OS recently received an update that brings the expressive Redesign with it (via Android Authority).

The Redesign goes to reinvent All parts of the app, starting from the icon present in the app drawer: the old “water green” icon with the contrasting fitbit logo gives way to a new icon with a white background and the Fitbit logo in a green gradient.

How the interior of the app changes

All the various internal screens to the app have undergone changes to adapt to the canons of the new design philosophy. The following gallery of images shows the situation before the advent of Material 3 Expressive.

With the Redesign, protagonist in the following image gallery, the interior of the app is presented with less gray, with more brighter colors and with all the voices that enjoy better readability. The indicators for the notices of low or high values and for the ongoing daily objectives are highlighted with text within a red/green/blue pill. The character is more rounded. The sleep screen, for example, now presents itself with various colors, abandoning the monochromatic on the purple, and extends throughout the screen width.

How the app boxes change

The various boxes connected to the app have also been updated with this Redesign and change deeply compared to the previous version, protagonist in the following image gallery.

In the new version, the progress rings surrounding the screen disappear. In their place there are “pillolone” that contain the information inside, providing better readability, including the ring that now presents itself with a decidedly more captivating and modern form.

Some boxes have lost part of the information, others have gained in readability and have changed the shape to host, for example, square buttons (selected/active) or circular (selectable/non -active) element typical of the new design philosophy. The following gallery of images shows the same boxes of the previous one but with the treatment of Material 3 Expressive.

News for the physical activity monitoring card

The physical activity monitoring screen presents the start button surrounded by the classic loading element of the Material 3 Expressivethat is, a circle that takes on an wavy form as time flows before monitoring is started.

The indicator of the heart rate area, present on the left (third image of the following gallery) is more readable and earns the color codes (from blue to red, passing through green and yellow) which change as the training session proceeds.

The “morning summary” also refers to makeup

Also the Morning summary offered by the app Fitbit He receives a renewed graphic design that makes changes in line with those we have spoken so far compared to the old version (protagonist in the following image gallery).

Larger and more readable texts, more bright colors, additional information, re-organized content to make the most of the space available on the screen. The following image gallery shows the new user interface of Morning summary.
