YouTube is adding new features to Shorts that remind us of features we already found on TikTok.

New features that give creators more options to personalize content and engage with their followers.

YouTube brings voiceover to the Shorts

As the Google team mentions, users will be able to add voiceover in the Shorts after recording the content. An option that will allow creators to add voiceover comments to their videos taking into account a series of contexts.

For example, if it is a tutorial and they want to record the instructions on the video, if they are narrating a trip, live reactions to other content, etc. To apply this dynamic is very simple, since the user will only have to click on this option, select the part of the video where he wants to start the voice narration and start recording.

Of course, they will be able to carry out this action on a video as many times as they consider necessary, so they can record, delete it and start again at any time. One detail to keep in mind is that we will only find this function in the YouTube app for iOS, so you will not see it if you search for it from Android.

Let’s remember that this is not the first time that YouTube has taken a TikTok feature to improve the dynamics of the app. One of the latest features YouTube announced for iOS users is the ability to reply to comments with a video.

An option that makes it easy for creators to interact with the audience, and that they can respond to their questions or requests with their Shorts. And to use this function is very simple: you just have to click on the Reply option in the comment that interests you and then select the Shorts icon.
