Two radically different devices, united however by the manufacturer (Xiaomi, which is the owner of the Redmi brand), by the positioning in the high end of the respective catalogs and by the circumstances relating to the certification. We are talking about the folding Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and the “traditional” flagship Redmi K50S Pro: the two smartphones in fact appeared in these hours on the database of the certification body for the Indian market TENAA. A sign that, for both devices, something is moving, and the debut could be imminent.

Beyond this indication, the certification of the terminals as usual reveals some details relating to the technical data sheet: Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 he showed up with 12 GB of RAM and can have 512 GB or 1 TB internal memory. From another certification, the 3C one, we have instead learned that it will support fast charging at 67W. For the rest, the rumors speak of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as SoC, and of the fact that both the internal and external display will offer a refresh rate at 120 Hz (specifically, the panels should have a ratio of 10.3 respectively: 9 and 21: 9).
The most particular aspect of Xiaomi’s new foldable, however, should be of an engineering type, with the presence of a hinge capable of folding both inwards and outwards, thus allowing the smartphone to take on both the shape of the Galaxy Z Fold by Samsung, and that of Huawei’s Mate X. This peculiar feature at the moment is only indicated by rumors, and therefore there is nothing confirmed.
REDMI K50S PRO
Of Redmi K50S Pro instead we know very little: on the TENAA database it is presented in configurations of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Also in this case the SoC will be at the top, or the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 by Qualcomm, and apparently the device should mount a 200 MP main camera. From the 3C certification instead we get the data relating to the fast charging of the battery, which is 120W, while the capacity should amount to 5,000 mAh.
