In April, the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro tablets were announced in China. They bring the Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 platforms, respectively. However, they do not have SIM connectivity, something that bothered some users.
Now, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that Xiaomi may be developing a tablet with powerful specs like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform.
As can be seen below, the tipster does not mention the name of the tablet in the leak. However, he appears to be referring to the Xiaomi tablet. According to him, the prototype has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform, has a camera module in the left corner of the back, a metal body and a thin frame.
Xiaomi’s tablet should also support Dolby Vision and have a variant with 5G connectivity. Some speculate that the device is a new version of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro with 12.4 inches.
It is worth remembering that the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro features an OLED screen, support for a refresh rate of 144 Hz, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB UFS 3.2 internal storage, Bluetooth 5.3, dual camera module with a 50-megapixel main sensor , 8 megapixel front sensor and 8,600 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
Rumors point out that Xiaomi is organizing a big event in July or August. At the presentation, the Chinese manufacturer is expected to make the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Redmi K60 Ultra and Redmi Pad 2 official. It is possible that the supposed new version of the 12.4-inch Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro will also be announced.
