Just a year ago, Xiaomi launched a new family of telephones with a youthful air and mid-high range features very focused on photography. The first member of it was the Xiaomi Civi, a few months later, the Xiaomi Civi 1S arrived, and now, it is the turn of the second generation.
The Xiaomi Civi 2 is now official and, as the brand itself had anticipated, it comes with a pill-shaped dual front camera. No, it is not the dynamic island of the iPhone 14 Pro nor does it fulfill that function, but it looks like it. In addition, it has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and 67 W fast charge on board.

Beautiful on the outside, complete on the inside
With a thickness of 7.23 mm and a weight of just 172 g, the new Xiaomi Civi 2 includes a 6.55-inch curved OLED display with FullHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has a fingerprint sensor under the panel.
In the center of the upper part, we find a pill-shaped cutout where the front camera is housed, which has two 32 MP sensors each (one of them wide angle). The rear camera is made up of a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor assisted by OIS, a 20 MP Sony IMX376K wide angle and a 2 MP macro lens.
Inside, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor combined with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a VC liquid cooling system stainless steel.
It runs MIUI 13 out of the box based on Android 12 and is powered by a 4500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. dual stereo speakers Compatible with Dolby Atmos are another of its outstanding features.
Price and versions of the Xiaomi Civi 2
Judging by what has happened with the previous models in the Civi range, it seems unlikely that Xiaomi will bring it to Europe (or at least not under that name). In China, the Civi 2 is available in three configurations and in four different colors (black, pink, blue or white -this last one is the special edition Hello Kitty-):
