Xiaomi had already launched two watches this month through its brand Amazfit, taking advantage of the purchase of the manufacturer Zepp. These smartwatch They were designed for the high-end, but now Xiaomi has announced just the opposite: one of its cheapest and simplest watches, with a great battery life and reminiscent of the classics of Casio.

The watch has four buttons, as it does not have a touch screen. The one on the upper left allows us to turn it on and select modes, the second allows us to turn on the lighting and go back, while the one on the right allows us to scroll between the different modes offered by the clock.

The sensor you use is the BioTracker PPG, same as in the high-end Amazfit models. Thanks to this, it can monitor our heart rate for 24 hours, and it will warn us if the heart rate goes out of range. This sensor also allows you to measure sleep in naps of more than 20 minutes if they take place between 11:00 and 18:00.

It also has the PAI Healt Assessment System, which analyzes and assesses our physical activity giving us a final grade. Beyond that, it also collects the steps to calculate the distance and the calories burned, being able to choose also in modes such as cycling or hiking.

An advantage of this watch over others from Amazfit is that it has an Always-on Display, so we can always see the time and information such as the battery or the steps we have taken at all times. The screen is similar to that found in a normal watch, which is best seen in bright sunlight, although it has a button that allows you to activate the backlight. This light also turns on when we make the gesture of seeing the time, just like on the Mi Band and other company watches.

Xiaomi’s Amazfit Neo has a battery for up to 37 days

The watch also alerts us to mobile notifications, although we cannot read or respond to them. It will notify us when we receive a call or when we have received a message. The battery life is spectacular thanks to the monochrome screen that it uses, being able to use it up to 28 days with normal use, and up to 37 days with energy saving mode activated. Its capacity is 160 mAh, and it takes about 2 and a half hours to charge.

The official price of this watch is 39.99 euros, and is already on sale in China and in various export stores, where it can be purchased for about 36 euros. Without a doubt an ideal watch if you like the classic watch design but do not want to stop using the smart functions.
