Next Thursday, June 24, Microsoft will unveil its plans to evolve its Windows platform. And according to all the information, the idea is to announce a new version that will leave a little unsettled from the present to that Windows 10 that has given us such a good morning. Now, since the first images of the new OS appeared a few days ago, speculation has soared. And one of them has to do with the different versions that we will have available to buy or use. A Microsoft custom that segments each of its builds for a different purpose. On the one hand, the one focused on the private and family sphere and on the other those that have to do with ICT professionals, companies, etc. And as you can imagine, Windows 11 is not going to get rid of something like that. An SE version is coming With that in mind, in the last few hours it has been known that Windows 11 will have an SE version. Something that the most veteran of the place will sound similar to that Windows 10 S that focuses, above all, on maintaining the security of the operating system and its performance. To do this, it blocks any attempt to install applications that do not arrive through the official Microsoft store, which includes the part of the browsers where Edge becomes the main one. So according to some of the experts in the field of Microsoft, they are convinced that these screenshots of Windows 11 SE are nothing more than the evidence in a similar way in the new OS that the Redmond will announce next week. Who can benefit from a computer configured with this build? Well, essentially all those users who do not want to complicate their lives by putting and removing applications and utilities and whose PC use needs are limited to office tasks, navigation, email and little else. Remember that according to Microsoft, “Windows 10 in S mode is a version of Windows 10 optimized for security and performance, while providing a familiar Windows experience. To increase security, it only allows applications from the Microsoft Store and requires Microsoft Edge for safe browsing. ” Any other software installation task by alternative means (web, apps, etc.), will force us to leave S mode (SE in Windows 11) permanently.
