If you are one of those who are impatient to have the latest Windows 11 updates on your computer, you will be interested in knowing the new option that Microsoft proposes.
Don’t worry, this is not about participating in Insider programs, but the idea is that your team is given priority to receive the latest updates. We tell you what it is about.
Windows 11 lets you opt out of updates before anyone else
Windows 11 has long improved the way it updates new versions of the operating system, in order to give users more control. So you don’t have to be stopping updates that insist on restarting the mobile at the least opportune moment, or that are updating in the background, taking resources from your computer.
If you take a look at the Windows Update section, you will see that Windows allows you to pause updates for 1, 2 and up to 5 weeks. And if you don’t want to pause it, you can simply set it not to update without your permission.
And now a new option is being added for the most anxious. It is not about receiving functions in tests, nor updates in beta, since this dynamic belongs to the different Insider programs.
But Microsoft’s new offering ensures that you’ll receive updates as soon as they’re available to your device, without suffering the delay of gradual rollout. That is, your team will have priority to receive future updates.
How to configure the new feature to have priority in Windows 11 updates
Of course, this new dynamic is optional. So the user must activate this new option for Microsoft to implement this dynamic. An option that you will find in Settings >> Windows Update >> More options >> Get the latest updates as soon as they are available.
One detail to keep in mind is that this dynamic does not include security updates. So regardless of whether or not you activate this new setting, you will continue to receive security updates as usual.
And of course, you can disable this option at any time to receive feature updates as normal.
