What happens if the router doesn’t work?

If for some reason your router does not work correctly and you urgently have to connect Alexa to another WiFi device, you have the possibility of pairing it with a WiFi access point that you will create from your mobile. To do this, you must go to the mobile settings and share a personal access point so that other electronic devices with WiFi can connect. In the case of the Alexa Echo, the steps to follow are the same as those described in the section above, but you will need the help of another mobile phone to carry out the entire configuration.

Finally, it may be the case that we have had to change the router, because we have moved to another company or it has broken down directly. Here, the Echo will be offline and will have to be configured to connect Alexa to another router. And it’s as easy as accessing the Alexa app, selecting the Echo offline and restarting the connection to the new WiFi network as we indicated above.
