WhatsApp is testing new privacy options like single-play audios and today another novelty was detected by WABetaInfo. This time, it was detected that WhatsApp should release more temporary duration options for messages in chats.
Currently, WhatsApp allows you to set chat messages to last between 24 hours and 90 days, but this should change soon. This is what was detected in a beta version of the application, where there is an option to define smaller intervals of duration.
The new duration options for temporary messages are as follows:
- 1 year
- 180 days
- 60 days
- 30 days
- 21 days
- 14 days
- 6 days
- 5 days
- 4 days
- 3 days
- 2 days
- 12 hours
- 6 hours
- 3 hours
- 1 hour
The addition of more duration options for temporary messages can be very interesting for groups where many messages are sent every day, thus preventing the application backup from becoming too large.
It is worth noting that the function is not yet active in WhatsApp Beta, so it may have different durations if it is released in the stable version of the application.
