WhatsApp , one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, is preparing to introduce a new group audio calling feature.

With the new feature, a waveform icon will appear in group chats, when clicked, users can initiate a group audio call.

What’s different about the new feature is that it won’t automatically ring all group members’ devices, as it does with the current group calling feature.

When all participants complete an audio session, it will remain active but will automatically end after one hour.
