WhatsApp released a new update through the Google Play Beta program, bringing the version 2.23.1.11🇧🇷
After releasing an update that allowed logging into WhatsApp from a secondary mobile device, the app is testing a new verification option to receive the six-digit code and log in on a secondary device.
A few weeks ago, WhatsApp beta for Android received the 2.22.17.22 update, which brought a feature up and running that aimed to introduce an extra layer of security for your account: login approval.
Thanks to this feature, the user could confirm if he wanted to put his WhatsApp account on a different device. In recent days, the application has been testing a related feature: the possibility of receiving the six-digit code to log in on a secondary mobile device.
As seen in the image, a new verification option appears on the screen and asks if you want to receive the code on your primary cell phone. If the feature is enabled on your account, the six-digit code will be delivered to your primary device.
Even in this case, WhatsApp suggests that you keep your six-digit code private, as it serves to validate your account. If you haven’t asked for it, just skip the verification page and proceed.
There is no forecast to arrive in the stable version, but with the start of the testing phase and if no serious problems are found, it will be publicly released soon.
