Spotify has prepared a new function, called “Get Ready With Music” capable of generating automatic playlists that adapt to the clothes you wear the user.

The playlist is generated from information about the user’s mood and the color of the clothes they wear

To do this, the user must provide certain information to the application, specifically the colors present in the clothing you are wearing and your mood. From this data, Spotify will automatically create a playlist, with a duration of two hours, based on popular music and indie music. A set of songs that, in theory, adjust to the moment and the situation and serve as a sound backdrop to the outfit and the mood of the moment.

How to use music recommendations according to clothing on Spotify

To activate “Get ready with music” you have to click on the banner with said invitation that appears in the Spotify app and follow these steps:

-Let it ring the introduction of this new function and press the button «Go»

-Choose the activity for which the wardrobe set was chosen based on Spotify suggestions: Get Stuff Done, Break a Sweat, Take It Easy, Go Out Tonight, Ready for Anything.

-Select three primary colorsThey stand out in the set that is dressed by means of a sliding circle, being able to select in each color if the tone is lighter or darker, being able to also select white or black.

-Choose the type of fabric of the garments, if they are tight, soft, informal…

-Add the name and (if desired) a photograph. Ideally, that costume ensemble would be seen, to serve as the cover for this playlist.

After a minute in which Spotify processes the information and prepares the personalized playlist, the app shows a summary of the information provided and a button to preview the result. Clicking on «Go to playlist» starts playing it.

A personalized playlist for that outfit and that mood with two hours of music in a process that can be repeated as many times as the user wants, adapting them to their different outfits.

Playlists generated are saved in the Spotify public profileand can be added to the list of favorite playlists through the streaming platform’s desktop app.
