What I have missed to see from Apple this year (Opinion).

This year 2022 barely has a little more than a week left to say goodbye to us. This year has meant a return to normality (little by little) that we lost two long years ago because of a small enemy but capable of putting the whole world in check. A year in which Apple has launched several updated devices and a new one, but even so, it has not been able to or has not known bring to market some device that we all wished we had seen.

I have really missed seeing more Mac models this year, such as a new Mac Pro with Apple Silicon

Apple has released new updates to its flagship, the iPhone, and although it has been seen that all that glitters is not gold, it must be said that there have been certain details in the new terminal that users have liked and quite a lot. However, it is true that although there have been important developments, some news that we would have liked to see have remained in the ink well at least to me.

We have the new Apple Watch Ultra, a watch that has surprised locals and strangers. There were a lot of last minute rumors that it was going to be released, but at the time of the event and actually seeing it was sublime. A watch with a huge screen and brutal features. That was very good. That is what we want as users. We want important innovations that represent a revolution, even if it is small.

For this reason, seeing how this year has passed in vain and no new developments have been presented, is like seeing delicious dishes and desserts but not being able to taste them, only seeing them in images. The American company has missed a golden opportunity when it comes to being able to surprise everyone and launch a unique, powerful product and capable of leaving the competition at the height of the bitumen.

I am referring to the possibility of having launched a new Mac Pro with Apple Silicon. With the powerful new chips that have turned the MacBook Pro, mini and more into true machines with exceptional performance and capacity for work. It is important to know that this opportunity may arrive in 2023, but it is about time.

The current Mac Pro is over three years old and is the only one that still uses Intel processors. Something that goes against the idea of Tim Cook and Apple to make a transition to their own processors. And therefore put aside the obsolescence of Microsoft.

We should only think about the capacity for efficiency and effectiveness that a Mac Pro with Apple Silicon. Seeing the results that are obtained in other machines. That is why I say, I think, that in this year 2022, the company has lost a great opportunity. Opportunity to start a 2023 with the bar through the roof.

I don’t know the reasons that have led Apple to not present any new Mac in the middle of the year, but there was not even an event. So that It is difficult to know if this new computer will finally be launched in 2023, although rumors indicate so. It’s about time, on the other hand. But with Apple you never know.

That is what I have missed. Apart from a little more innovation. But what my body really wanted was to see a powerful machine work and move large programs with almost no difficulty. I’ll keep waiting and hopefully not much longer.

I know very well that it is a computer that is within the reach of very few. It is a computer for companies, above all. But it can open the way for other models with less capacity and above all at a lower price and that can delight consumers. The versatility that Apple Silicon gives is incredible and it is not given by Intel. Therefore, the launch of this machine can open many interesting doors.
