ViewSonic announced this Monday (06) the launch of two new monitors for games in the Europeian market. The OMNI VX2416 and VX2716, available in 24-inch and 27-inch sizes respectively, will serve as rival options to AOC’s famous G2 Hero lineup, but with slightly higher MSRPs.
Both models have IPS LCD screens with Full HD resolution (1080p), 100 Hz refresh rates and 1 millisecond moving picture response time (MPRT). Monitors feature AMD FreeSync technologywhich synchronizes the display with the output of the GPU, avoiding dropped frames and ensuring a smoother experience for gamers.
The OMNI VX2416 and VX2716 have integrated stereo speakers that eliminate the need to connect headphones or speakers, in case the user wants to save space in his setup. The monitors can be wall mounted with a wide variety of brackets available as VESA standard.
Speaking of connectivity, the devices offer HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort ports (version not reported), as well as a headphone jack with P2 standard.
“The ViewSonic OMNI VX16 series of monitors is designed to provide the best gaming display solution at an affordable price,” commented Jeff Muto, Director of Business Line at ViewSonic. The company recently introduced the ELITE XG340C-2K and XG341-2K models as more advanced options with refresh rates up to 165 Hz.
ViewSonic claims that the OMNI VX2416 and VX2716 are now available with suggested prices of BRL 1,799 and BRL 2,099, respectively. The monitors are expected to be sold at partner retailers in the coming weeks.
