ViewSonic is expanding its product lineup for content creators this Monday (27) with the launch of its new line of “tablets” with stylus pen for drawing, allowing professionals in the area to unleash their creativity at any time by connecting the accessory to a PC running Windows or macOS.
O PF1020 and PF720 function as tracking surfaces for pens stylusallowing users to write, draw, and interact with graphics editing software and other applications using an input method that is more versatile and accurate than the mouse.
For those who prefer a large viewing area over lightweight and portability, the ID1230 features an 11.6-inch active display with LCD technology and Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), serving as an external screen capable of displaying the content produced with high sharpness and good color accuracy. The PF1020 and PF720 are electronic surfaces that allow you to track a stylus pen to interact with creativity applications on Windows and Mac. The list of compatible software includes Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Krita, GIMP, among others. According to ViewSonic, there is no need to install drivers — just connect the device to the PC via a USB-C cable.
The models are essentially differentiated by the sizes. The PF1020 has a 10-inch footprint and 8 user-customizable shortcut buttons, while the PF720 is the more compact option with a 7-inch footprint and 5 customizable buttons.
Interactive displays are paired with precise digitizing pens that offer unprecedented levels of input. With 8,192 levels of pressure and sensitivity, the pen’s tiny tips can replicate the pleasure of pen writing on paper and accurately reproduce the finest lines and most delicate shading.
The ID1230 is an 11.6-inch external display that covers 85% of the NTSC color gamut and 90% of the Adobe RGB gamut. According to ViewSonic, this is the lightest product in the category weighing only 550 grams, so it can be easily transported with your Windows or macOS notebook. Connection is via a USB-C and HDMI-mini cable.
The device sports 8 customizable buttons for editing shortcuts, and just like the padsthe model supports a digitizer pen with 8,192 levels of pressure, detection of variations in angle and battery-free use, so the user does not have to worry about interrupting his work to recharge the accessory.
