twitter spaces audio chat

Last March, Twitter launched Spaces, a new format that allows you to create audiochat rooms within the social network. This tool, very similar to the Clubhouse format, has been refining and expanding in recent months to give it more prominence on the platform. Now, Twitter has announced that all its users, both iOS and Android, will be able to use Spaces.

Twitter Spaces started out being accessible only to users with a minimum of 600 followers

At first, this tool was accessible only to users who had at least 600 followers. Now, as the company had announced a few months ago, Spaces will be accessible to any user of the Twitter mobile app. To create one of these audio chat rooms, users must click on a button that will appear next to the one used to tweet.

At the beginning of the summer, Twitter redesigned the appearance of its mobile app so that the Spaces icon appears on the bottom bar in the central space. The symbol formed by the two pairs of circles symbolizing Twitter Spaces has since been shown between the search icon in the shape of a magnifying glass and the icon with the bell-shaped mentions.

An example of the strategic importance that Spaces has for Twitter is the presentation, this week, of the Spark program. This one, lasting three months, was created with the intention of teaching tweeters to take advantage of this format. At the same time, it will support Spaces creators who are admitted to the program with financial, technical and outreach support.
