Twitter today launched worldwide a new feature on their platform called ‘Fleets’, that allows to publish ‘tweets’ in the form of temporary “stories” that are deleted after 24 hours, a format that reminds us many of the ‘Stories’ of Instagram.
This new ‘Fleets’ function has been created so that people feel more comfortable when starting threads (conversations) on Twitter. With this striking format, everything that is published will be available for only 24 hours, then it will be self-eliminated, as reported by the company’s Design Director, Joshua C. Harris, through an online event.
This is “Fleets” the new “stories” of Twitter
The ‘fleets’ will appear either in the app or in its desktop version in the top of the platform through bubbles or circles, here they will stay for 24 hours. If you want to see those of other users, you just have to pass them by sliding your finger from right to left exactly the same as on Instagram or Facebook.
That thing you didn’t Tweet but wanted to but didn’t but got so close but then were like nah. We have a place for that now — Fleets! Rolling out to everyone starting today. pic.twitter.com/auQAHXZMfH

In the new ‘fleet’ you can add texts, background images and videos, even quote ‘tweets’, where you can also add text and emoticons.
In the same way, users who create a new ‘fleet’ will be able (as happens on Instagram), check that people have seen his “fleets”, also if the user answers a ‘fleet’ it will automatically will open a private conversation with its creator.
Twitter Inc. has pointed out during its presentation that for the moment this new functionality will not notify users if other people have made screenshots of your ‘fleet’They have stated that they are working on it.
How to use fleets?

- Then you can add texts or emojis.
From Twitter, they say that soon it will be possible to share stickers and broadcast live through the functionality.
