TikTok is preparing the live shopping function to arrive in North America. First of all, this measure comes from an idea that the short-video social network is trying to implement to rival Facebook. In general, it is one of the ways that the platform seeks to expand its business.

After delaying the launch of the purchase tool on live streams for some time, the function has finally arrived in the app in some locations around the world. For example, in some countries in Asia, the action was successful and was a great success. However, this scenario was not repeated in the United Kingdom.

Such a result made TikTok a little more cautious about this new tool. Now, the intention is to bring it to North America and for that, there are negotiations between the platform and TalkShopLive, which specializes in selling products through online channels and lives.

Another interesting detail is that TalkShopLive has already worked in partnership with small content creators, in addition to Microsoft and Walmart. Nothing is set in stone yet, but the conversations signal a final stage of negotiations for this service with the so-called TikTok Shop.

If it becomes a reality, users from countries like the United States will be able to make purchases directly through the short video platform. Still, making it appealing to the public can be a daunting task, as Instagram itself has failed to make its product selling feature something that most people want to use.

And you, what do you think of this new step of TikTok? Would you like to see this feature coming to Europe?
