The company plans to share a percentage of ad revenue with content creators whose videos include ads. This program created by TikTok is very similar to the one used by YouTube, YouTube Partners, who also pay their users based on the visibility that their videos can give an ad.
This program, baptized as TikTok Pulse, guarantees advertisers that their ads will only appear next to 4% of the most viewed videos on the platform. All content creators aspire to be part of this program. have at least 100,000 followersas long as your videos are selected to insert ads.
The Chinese company has promised that it will share with those creators up to 50% of your ad revenue. This is a figure very close to that distributed by YouTube, which shares up to 55% of its ad revenue with its content creators. TikTok Pulse will launch in the United States next June. The company’s intention is to reach other markets in the following months.
Until now, TikTok allowed its users to monetize their activity through a Creator Fund. This fund was created to reward those users with the most popularity on the social network. Recipients must be over 18 years old, have at least 10,000 followers and 10,000 views per month, and upload original content.
