Once it has been confirmed that at the beginning of this month of August there will be a Xiaomi event to publish new devices, there is one that seems quite clear that it will arrive at that time accompanying the Mi MIX 4. We are talking about a tablet that aims to compete for a market segment that once seemed almost destined to disappear, but has now consolidated. We talk about Xiaomi Mi Pad 5.
There are many things that have been known about this product and, the truth is that everything points to very good manners. An example is that each of the three versions that will be put on sale (and everything suggests that Spain will be part of the game), will have a bluetooth keyboard original to improve its use and, in addition, it also stretches a stylus. Therefore, the idea is to compete with the best that manufacturers such as Samsung, Apple or Lenovo offer. Besides, it has also been quite clear that the battery that it will include will have a capacity of about 8,750 mAh with fast charging of 70 W, which ensures that the device can be used for more than 10 hours without any problem.
With a design that is quite reminiscent of the iPad Pro, the screen that these models will use will be 10.9 inch and will have resolution 2K. Thus, viewing any type of content will become a very good experience including videos that arrive from cloud platforms or those that you want to edit with the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablet. By the way, a very good detail of this component will be that will have update frequency of 120 Hz and, also, that the brightness can exceed two 400 nits.
Three different processors for each of the models
In order to reach all price ranges, different processors will be included inside the tablet we are talking about that will allow varying what each one of them will cost in the market. The cheapest option will have an SoC Dimensity 1200, which is a good decision for the sake of getting a good quality / price ratio. The other two will have a Snapdragon 860 the one intended for the mid-range and, the one considered top, will use a Snapdragon 870 which ensures that practically any application that comes to mind you can use it.
As usual in Xiaomi products, the operating system used will be Android (in its version 11), and it will not lack the usual MIUI customization of the Asian firm. Apart from what is indicated, everything suggests that the RAM will be at 4 GB and that it will not lack excellent connectivity, since, among other options, exist at both Bluetooth 5.2 like WiFi 6. And, all this, with the addition of including a fingerprint reader on the side where the power button is located. It paints this tablet really well, right?
