These Xiaomi phones are the most sought after in Spain: they cost less than 300 euros and are not from this year

Two Xiaomi phones have been crowned as the only Android smartphones among the most sought after in a popular price comparator.

The mid-range triumphed in Spain last 2022, with nine mobile phones belonging to this segment among the ten best-sellers, according to Canalys data. Six of them were Xiaomi phones. Now, a study published by the price comparator Idealo has revealed that two of its mobile phones are among the most sought after on the platform.

These are the only two Android smartphones among the top five, since the iPhone 11, iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 occupy the podium. Specifically, they are the POCO X3 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro, both launched in March 2021 and which went on the market for 249 euros and 279 euros, respectively. Although now you can get them

They are mobile phones with very interesting details, which belong to the mid-range, but which at the time offered very important additions compared to other mobile phones of just over 200 euros. However, today it is not difficult to find better options for their starting prices.

The POCO X3 Pro was the best-selling mobile in Europe during Black Friday two years ago. One of its differentiating points was that it had a 4G high-end processorthe Qualcomm Snapdragon 860. In its base version, it was accompanied by a generous amount of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

This, added to a great 5,160 mAh battery and its 6.67-inch screen at Full HD+ resolution with 120 Hz, made it very attractive to the public who wanted power at a good price. A device with a great quality-price ratio, taking into account that it was launched for 249 euros.

One of the reasons this may be due is to average price of Android phones, which is around 358 euros, according to Idealo. You can get entry-level devices for just over 100 euros, however, the cheapest mobile phone that Apple has in its catalog, the iPhone SE launched in 2022, starts at 529 euros with a capacity of 64 GB.

On the other hand, to get an iPhone below this price, all you have to do is resort to second-hand or buy mobile phones that are more than a year old. The mid-range takes center stage in these cases, since it offers more than just a basic experience, but at a competitive price. For example, the Redmi Note 12S is a fairly current example of great features for less than 300 euros.

Last 2022, according to Canalys data, the best-selling mobile phone in Spain was the Redmi Note 11 4G, and among the top ten of this list were other brand devices such as the Redmi 9A, the Redmi 10C or the Redmi Note 11S, as well as the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. Also the Samsung Galaxy A52S, Galaxy A53 and the Galaxy A33. The only more expensive mobile phone that made it into the best sellers was the iPhone 13, revealing a clear preference for mid-range devices.
