The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 with NFC arrives in Spain: you can now pay with it everywhere

As you know, Xiaomi has a habit of launching some of its wearables from the Mi Band range in two very different stages. The first brings us to Spain the most basic model, mondo and lirondo, and in the second wave already enter the one with the NFC chip. A component that is very old and has been used in mobile phones for almost a decade but that the Chinese use as a differential element.

And the reason must be found in a function that has made NFC chips essential for practically any so-called smart product: wireless payments in contactless terminals. It is thanks to them that you can pay at the supermarket with your mobile, tablet and of course with your watch, which saves you from having to carry your wallet full of plastic everywhere.

Xiaomi Mi Band 6 NFC arrives in Spain

The point is that Xiaomi has officially presented the NFC version of its extraordinary Mi Band 6 that it is going to launch in Spain and that will let us pay everywhere. Because in the rest of the hardware characteristics it remains practically the same. What’s more, the arrival of this smartband is another milestone for the Chinese: the launch in our country of the Xiaomi Mi Pay service, which will be in charge of centralizing all the payment methods that we decide to wear on the wrist. Anyway, don’t be scared because if you already use a mobile service such as Google Pay or Apple Pay, this Xiaomi Mi Band 6 NFC will also let you continue using them.

This Xiaomi Mi Band 6 with NFC has a 1.56-inch screen, AMOLED and an autonomy estimated by the manufacturer of about 19 days. In addition to these mobile payments, it has a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen levels, sleep monitoring, support for personal assistants (with Alexa in Spanish and everything), resistance to water and dust and the possibility of diving in water. up to 50 meters (5 ATM), presets to carry out up to 30 different types of training and compatibility with both iPhone and Android. Its launch price will be 54.90 euros and there is still no date marked in red on the calendar for its release, although the brand announces that we will have it in our country “in the coming weeks.”
