Last month, the long-awaited Xiaomi 12S Ultra was unveiled in China. It is part of the 12S series of new flagship smartphones, but the company announced that it would only be available in that region. Now, it seems that the company could launch the model in the global market as well, according to Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings). Sharma claims that the Chinese tech giant might be planning to launch the Xiaomi 12S Ultra in the global market. At the moment, we cannot verify the validity of this information, but it seems unlikely considering that a global model number has not been detected. With the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series just a few months away, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will have to launch at least a couple of months before the 13 series to avoid cannibalizing sales. Speaking of the smartphone itself, it is the brand’s latest flagship model and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, a 6.73″ LTPO 2.0 AMOLED screen that has 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear features a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, which also sports the Leica Summicron lens system on the back.
