This Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to have a price of around 400 euros to compete against the Pixel a
After several rumors and leaks, we can finally say that The Nothing Phone (2a) is official and will also arrive soon. All the leaks began in December of last year when we learned some details of a design that, supposedly, will change from what we have seen so far in the Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2). However, the British company had remained silent.
Until now, since Nothing has confirmed via email to its list members that the Nothing Phone (2a) exists and will arrive soon. Furthermore, the first thing they commented is that “a new year requires a new perspective”, so this new brand strategy would be confirmed with this device.
Nothing is as cryptic as ever with her Phone (2a)
First of all, no, we have no specifications or images of the Nothing Phone (2a). The company has been extremely brief in its statement and they have limited themselves to saying that it will arrive soon, along with the image of what appears to be one of the corners of the device.
It seems that it has flat sides in a design more similar to that of the Phone (1), but it is not something that can be guaranteed either. And no, they do not let us see the camera module, which according to previous leaks, would change position to be placed horizontally in a central area of the rear.
If this sounds like the Google Pixel to you, yes, that may be the goal both in design and name of a Nothing that would be sending a missile, directly, to the line of Google’s most economical mobile phones.
As we say, there is nothing official, but the rumors and leaks speak of a 6.7-inch screen with 120 Hz refresh ratethe SoC Dimensions 7200 (so they would bet on MediaTek for the first time) and a dual camera system with a wide-angle Samsung 50 megapixel and a wide angle, also from Samsung and 50 megapixels.
It seems that We will have to wait until February 27, when Nothing will have its conference at the Mobile World Congress, to find out all the details of this Nothing Phone (2a). Of course, if they follow the trend of previous releases, they will surely flood us with weekly pills on social networks before the presentation.
And, be careful, since This new cheap Nothing may not arrive alone. On the CMF website, Nothing’s sub-brand, we can see that they are working on some CMF Buds (supposedly a cheaper model than the previous Buds Pro) and on something called Neckband Pro that we know absolutely nothing about. We simply have this image, as concise as usual for the brand:
In any way, If January has been a busy month, February will be even more so.. We have the Mobile World Congress just around the corner and, traditionally, both February and March are months in which presentations and launches come and go.
