Only a few hours to go premiere of one of the most anticipated series of the year. “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” lands tomorrow, Friday, on Prime Video with its first two episodes, to which a new one will follow each week.
The expectation is great and if you are one of those who do not want to miss the series adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s novels, you must be clear how and when to see each chapter from the mobile. Luckily, the requirements are minimal, as we tell you below.
The Bottom Line: You’ll Need a Subscription
As we already said, it is the amazon streaming platform which owns the broadcast rights to the Lord of the Rings series. However, access is not free and if you are not yet a customer, you must sign up for Amazon Prime. It can be done perfectly from the Amazon app for purchases or from the web browser.
Prime Video requirements on mobile and Android TV
The Amazon Prime Video app is fully available on Google Play for android phones and also for televisions with Android TV or Google TV. Its download as such is free, although to enjoy the content you will need a subscription like the one we mentioned earlier.
As for requirements, it does not work in all versions, but it does in the most recent ones. Its compatibility is with Android 5.0 and later versions. Considering that this initial version dates back 8 years, it will be rare that you have a device that does not have a much more recent version.

When they broadcast new chapters of The Lord of the Rings: the rings of Power
Unlike other series that broadcast their entire seasons, this one follows the same pattern as The House of the Dragon on HBO Max with airing a new chapter every week.
Tomorrow, Friday, September 2, they will broadcast the first two. After, every Friday starting at 3:00 am (Spanish peninsular time) will publish a new one. This season will be composed of 8 chapters, so it will be completed as of October 14 of this year.
