5G is the next great evolution of mobile networks that will enable very high speed and low latency connections. However, it is important to bring these new connections to all corners of Spain, be it small towns, roads or the rail network. From this, services such as free WiFi on the AVE can benefit, but also many other sectors that cannot be left out of the digital revolution. Today we know that the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation invests 26 million euros in the deployment of 5G in the High Speed rail network in collaboration with ADIF.

The deployment of 5G will be expensive, very expensive. For this reason, operators demand aid and funds to undertake it, especially in areas where return on investment is difficult. In Spain we have the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan that has among its priorities the deployment of 5G to boost sectors such as the economy or employment. This plan has an investment of 1,500 million that will serve to promote this latest generation technology.
