The final design of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro appears in a video published by Google itself
Google must have thought “lost, in the river” and has published a video in which it lets us see the design of the Pixel 8
If you are looking forward to the presentation event of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, you may not have to wait until October 4 not because there are leaks, but because be Google itself that gets ahead of… well, its own event.
Over the past few months we have had quite a few leaks, but this week we witnessed a turning point. First, Google missed the official page in which it let us see the full design of the Pixel 8, as well as some of its features. Now, and officially, Google has released a video of the two Pixel 8.
Google counterprogramming Google and the Pixel 8 event
What you have right up there is the 23-second video that Google just published in which We can see the sides and back of both the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro.
We do not see the front at any time, although it is not necessary considering that we already saw it in yesterday’s leak, but there are two interesting details.
The first is the most obvious: maintain the design line released with the Pixel 6. This was not a surprise and from the first leaks we could see that these Pixel 8 would be continuous in this sense.
However, What is interesting is both the Pro’s camera module and the finishing of the sides. And weeks ago it was leaked that the most expensive model would have a temperature sensor.
This is something that was confirmed in the leak due to Google’s carelessness a few hours ago and in the promotional image that also appeared on their website a week ago.
In all the designs it seemed that it would have a black color, which would confuse it with a ToF or LIDAR sensor, but in the end it seems that it will be whitish. It’s the one right below the flash, by the way.
On the other hand, in the leak of the 3D model It seemed that we would have an important step between the rear glass and the aluminum sides. It didn’t seem very comfortable, but if you look at this video, it seems that that step is not there or, at least, not so pronounced.
For everything else, we will have to wait for the event on October 4. Or, well, maybe not since Google decides to publish more official material before that date. What we know from this video is that reservations will be available on the same day as the official presentation.
