Bicycles are one-person vehicles, designed to transport a single person. Some models offer a small basket to carry the backpack or a small bag, and little else.
Convercycle Bike It is a German idea that has caught our attention because of how well thought it is: a conventional electric bicycle that in just two seconds transforms into a cargo bicycle capable of transporting up to 180 Kilos of weight.
In its standard mode, it is a conventional city bike, available with and without electric motor. But the rear wheel can be deployed without the need for any tools or force, to release a cargo space that allows transporting up to 180 Kilos of weight.
The unfolding process is especially simple, as you can see in this video, and it also has a locking system that prevents the bike from accidentally folding:
In its City Mode (folded), it is a conventional bike that is easy to drive and park. It can even be placed in portrait mode in the garage, taking up only one square meter.
When deployed the rear wheel releases a 60 x 40 cm load basket. Very useful for couriers, to transport the purchase, or to the dog. And with plenty of space to place a baby seat behind the seat without it protruding from the dimensions of the bicycle itself, as it happens with conventional bikes.
The version with an electric motor has a 250W power Bafang FM G020.250 motor. The 10.5 Ah battery is located inside the tube and is removable, so it can be charged at any outlet in the home or office. It guarantees an autonomy of 60 Kilometers without load, and 50 Km with a load of 60 Kilos, in addition to the weight of the driver.
Convercycle Bike is already on sale on your official website. The standard version is priced at 1,999 euros. The electric version amounts to 3,199 euros.
It has passed all the tests to be able to circulate in all the cities and roads of Europe when it is deployed.
