AnTuTu publishes the results of its benchmark monthly. In October OnePlus won alongside Qualcomm, this is the list for this month of November

The year 2023 is coming to a close, after leaving us with real gems when it comes to mobile telephony. Android has welcomed cutting-edge smartphones from companies such as Samsung, OnePlus or Xiaomi without forgetting the new Pixel 8. But, which has earned the title of most powerful mobile phone of the year?

This question is answered by AnTuTu, the well-known benchmark application that allows you to carry out a synthetic test, obtaining a score relative to the power of the hardware. After knowing the results for the month of October – which declared the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro the winner – the company has published those for the penultimate month of the year. This is how the ranking turned out.

The AnTuTu top 10 is dominated by Xiaomi

Like every month, AnTuTu does not miss its appointment to announce the most powerful mobile phones of the last 30 days. On the previous occasion, a OnePlus that equipped the latest from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (with the permission of the third generation that will be in more phones next year), took first place, with a result of 1,648,063 points .

It is worth mentioning that, to obtain it, an average is made using all the data from that device. Therefore, it is not the highest score you have obtained. A movement that, on the other hand, is natural, since the results of the benchmarks are very variable. It depends largely on the background processes, and even on the battery level (processors reduce their power to consume less).

After considering that asterisk, we must also know that the list does not include the Chinese market. Therefore, we will only see models launched globally – it may be that some are not available in our country – and now we do, highlighting those that have the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Without further ado, we leave the listadding next to the model the processor it equips:

  1. Xiaomi 14 Pro (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3)
  2. Nubia Z50S Pro (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3)
  3. Red Magic 8 Pro+ (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with OC)
  4. Red Magic 8S Pro (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with OC)
  5. Samsung Galaxy S23+ (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with OC)
  6. Xiaomi 13 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2)
  7. Xiaomi 13 Pro (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2)
  8. Nubia Z50 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2)
  9. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with OC)
  10. Xiaomi 13T Pro (Mediatek Dimensity 9200+)

It seems clear dominance of Qualcomm and its Snapdragon processors. The work done by the chip manufacturer has been impeccable this year, and what is coming with the 8 Gen 3 is already leaving clues. As it could not be otherwise, the latest chip vastly surpasses its predecessor, which still appears at the expense of the 2024 flagships making the leap.

If we look closely, we will notice a trend of this year 2023: the revolution that manufacturers apply to the clock frequencies of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (‘Overclock‘ in Shakespeare’s language) achieving better performance than when it comes from the factory. It will remain to be remembered ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy’ with which the Korean manufacturer wanted to distinguish its Galaxy S23.

Mediatek timidly appearswith its Dimensity 9200+, ‘brain’ of the Xiaomi 13T Pro that we met recently. In relation to the Android smartphone manufacturers, the prize is won by a Xiaomi that has had a busy year, and manages to appear up to four times.

Closely followed by two Red Magic, the brand that focuses on the sector gaming. Already in fifth place it is present Samsung with the ‘Plus’ model and repeats with the ‘Ultra’ in ninth position. In short, these are the 10 most powerful Android phones from last month. Will much change for this last month of the year? Which one do you think will be the most powerful in 2023?
