Spotify is about to launch a new design that proposes new dedicated feeds for music and podcasts.

Yes, the idea is that users can find the content they are looking for in specific feeds. We will tell you what is new in this new design.

Spotify has a new design for music and podcasts

Instead of having a home page that mixes music recommendations with show and podcast suggestions, Spotify will assign them separate feeds.

That is, you will have a feed for the mixes, artist recommendations, and the different collections that Spotify creates based on your playback history so that you can discover new music. And on the other hand, you’ll find a feed dedicated to podcast and show recommendations, as well as new episodes.

So if it bothers you to have all the content mixed in Spotify, you will find this design more practical:

By creating these feeds, Spotify will help listeners easily navigate the type of content they are currently looking for. The updated interface will make the experience more personalized and allow users to dig even deeper into their recommendations.

As you can see in the image, you just have to choose “Music” or “Podcasts and shows” for Spotify to show you the feed that interests you. Each feed will have what you need to discover new content, save it to your library, share it with friends or play it without leaving that section.

The interesting thing about this design is that Spotify doesn’t force you to deal with new sections within the app, rather this proposal is based more on a filter system to go from one feed to another. At the moment, this new Spotify design is being implemented in the Android app, but they plan to bring this new feature to iOS soon.
