One month after the rollout on Xperia 1 IV, Xperia 5 IV, Xperia 1 III, Xperia 5 III and Xperia Pro-I, Android 13 comes up Xperia 10 IV thus completing the “tour” of the fourth generation of smartphones. The mid-range receives the update to the latest version of the green robot through build number 65.1.A.4.8 which is in rollout in Southeast Asia on the dual SIM variants of the smartphone (code XQ-CC72).

From what we read on the net it seems that the update brings with it the Android security patches updated in December 2022; the build that will arrive in Europe may have a slightly different initials, but the patches should be the same for all variants. Likely the company’s latest firmware, like the previous ones, is one lightweight android customization, with a few more functions or precautions than those of Google.

The rollout is in progress, but it seems to be progressing slowly, so it is it is likely that several days will pass before it makes its way to Europe. If you own an Xperia 10 IV and are curious to find out what’s new, it is advisable to check the settings section dedicated to updates from time to time.
