Microsoft offers Windows native compatibility with the RAR format

There are several compression formats. The best known is of course ZIP which allows you to create an archive inside which you can place files to make them smaller. But there are others, including ARRZIP’s eternal paying competitor, and 7ZIP, a free and very popular alternative. Windows has never been natively compatible with RAR and 7ZIP. You need to install (and pay in the case of RAR) third-party software. But that will soon be a distant memory, since Windows will finally become natively compatible with these two compression formats.

They are 50,000 to run properly, thanks to the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) function and the Amazon AppStore which is used to distribute the applications. But this compatibility will take a new turn, since Microsoft announces that all developers will now be able to publish their Android applications on Windows from the Amazon AppStore.
