Sonos Is Preparing A New Playbar With A Renewed Design

Sonos is preparing a new Playbar with a renewed design for your Smart TV

Sonos is one of the companies that have best understood these new times of cinema (or music) at home where, as important as the image, is the sound we get. And proof of this is the success that some of its audio bars have had in recent times since in 2013 they decided to set foot in this growing sector.

Now Sonos seems determined to upgrade your Playbar with a model that will significantly change its design And, it remains to be seen, that it will also do the same with its internal hardware, where we could have some news about audio standards that allow us to enjoy, not only higher quality, but also greater options for sharing sound.

Dolby Atmos and Airplay 2?

As we say, the new design of this Sonos Playbar has been filtered through images that do not have too much quality, but that reveal the forms that Americans have decided to take: wider than the previous models and preeminence of a rounded shape that ends with the corners and right angles.

Nor should we forget the more than secure presence of an Ethernet port, or Wifi 802.11ac connectivity, as it was known a few days ago after the passage of this device by the North American FCC. You know, the US certifying body which gives permission for a device to be sold in its territory. Unfortunately, there is no more information on the number of speakers, types or power so, for now, we can only trust the good name of Sonos.

Of course, where there does seem to be a riot is in some standards that this new Playbar will bring. It would be Dolby Atmos and Apple’s AirPlay 2, which would allow content to be sent directly from mobiles, tablets, computers and other inventions of those of Cupertino. This new soundbar could have a presentation date in just a few days, if it is confirmed that the brand will take advantage of the event that it has already confirmed for May 6 and in which we will meet other members of the brand’s audio family.
