A few days ago the e-book was officially announced Kobo Epsa 2E, which competes directly with the Kindle Scribe both for the size of its screen and for the inclusion of a stylus to make notes or create personalized notebooks. We are going to show you how add eBooks from the cloud so that you can take advantage of all that you have.

The first thing you should know is that currently the compatibility offered by this eReader is with Dropbox, a service that has a free account with space to store a large number of books (but support for Google Drive will be added shortly). Also, what you want to use from this place has to be documents PDF or ePub that are not protected, since otherwise you will not be able to use them. Obviously, for synchronization to take place, the Kobo must be connected to a network Wifibecause otherwise this is impossible.

How to add books to the Kobo Elipsa 2E from Dropbox

First of all, you must be clear that this is not necessary if you have obtained the electronic book in the firm’s store, and that in order to complete the process the version of the OS that you must have installed is the 4.18 or higher. Once you have a Dropbox account, something that is very easy to achieve and that has clients for iOS and Android, these are the steps you have to take to be able to use this function:

  • The first thing is to get the Dropbox code on your eReader. To do this, once they are on the initial screen of the Kobo device, click on the More icon that has three horizontal lines (it is in the lower area).
  • Now, you have to click on Settings and then do the same in Accounts. In the lower area you will see a section called Dropbox. When using the Start option, you will see an alphanumeric code (it is not a bad idea to write it down).

  • Once you have this information, go to this link using a browser for it. You will see a section now called Link to Dropbox. Enter the above code and click Link. If it asks you to log in, you must enter your credentials to do so.
  • All you have to do is click on Allow to give access to the Kobo Elipsa 2E and you’re done.

Now, in the e-book Settings you will see that there is a section called Dropbox that if you open it you will see the books that you have shared in a file which is created in the cloud service and which is called Rakuten Kobo and what is inside Applications. That’s where you have to copy the eBooks so they sync automatically. It’s all that simple.
