As a result of this type of actions by some users in social media the official and verified account of Casio @CASIOedu, spoke about it and indicated that the fake profiles to which the brand was linked have no relationship with it and that no information disseminated by these accounts is real.

“We remember the importance of verifying the sources of information. No statement or message published in these accounts is official”, indicated the real profile of the company. For his part, Camilo Gutiérrez Amaya, Head of the Laboratory of ESET Latin America, indicated that users should become aware of the accounts they follow.
“The example helps us to become aware of the speed with which the fake news and how the opportunism of some actors can be used to deceive people, either by divulging fake news or carrying out some other malicious action”, affirmed the representative of the cybersecurity company.
The analysis done by the company indicated that most of the fake accounts related to Casio They were created in 2022, but it was not until January 13, 2023, the date of the song’s release, that they published their first post on Twitter which is a clear indicator of the intent to profit from the virality of the musical theme.
