The Galaxy S23 Ultra has just won a title that few rivals can get on the DxOMark test platform. As announced this Friday (17), the cell phone scored “Gold” in the Screen, Camera, Selfie and Battery categories.
Gold seals are awarded to cell phones that surpass the 135-point mark in one of the five attributes of DxOMark: screen, rear cameras, front camera, battery and sound. The Galaxy S23 Ultra scored well in four out of five categories, matching the Google Pixel 7 Pro, Huawei Mate 50 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra proved that its 200 MP sensor is capable of recording images with an excellent level of detail, as evaluated by DxOMark, which assigned 140 points in “Camera” to Samsung’s top of the line. So far, its selfie tests have not been disclosed, but the flagship did not do badly in TechSmart’s experiments.
One of the biggest highlights of the cell phone on the platform occurred with its autonomy and efficiency test: 142 points in the ranking, surpassing the iPhone 14 Pro Max and ROG Phone 6. Its powerful screen with 2X Dynamic AMOLED technology earned 139 points.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra beats the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in terms of battery life, and with the ability to impress reviewers in its front-facing camera test, it could become the first phone to earn five gold seals in the DxOMark ranking — that is, only if you get a score equal to or greater than 135 points.
In addition to the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Mate 50 Pro, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is the third mobile phone in the iOS rival universe with four “Gold” ratings. Its highlights include color accuracy in its rear and front cameras, good quality screen and great sound capture — identical to the Huawei cell phone, current vice-leader in the photography ranking.
