Samsung’s new Odyssey Neo G9 gaming monitor is now available globally

It was one of the first surprises of the year, since as soon as 2023 started, Samsung presented its new series of monitors for gamers and creative professionals at CES in Las Vegas, including the new Odyssey Neo G9, which starts today to be available globally.

As we already know, it is a specialized gaming monitor that has a 49″ OLED screen with a 1800R curvature, capable of offering images at a Dual Quad High Definition (DQHD; 5120 x 1440) resolution in a ratio of 32: 9, equivalent to two QHD screens side by side, as described in the press release.

Outstanding features for a fully immersive experience

In addition, the display features a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time and 240Hz refresh rate, for a fully immersive experience.

But to further differentiate itself from other models of OLED gaming monitors, Samsung highlights the integration of the Neo Quantum Pro processor, housing a deep learning algorithm to analyze images and improve them both in terms of brightness and contrast.

With other technologies to achieve better image quality

The machine learning algorithm is also added to the advanced lighting technologies CoreSync and Core Lighting+ to match colors, and DisplayHDR True Black 400 technology, making game contents more vivid and sharp.

These capabilities to offer immersive experiences will be complemented by the set of integrated stereo speakers capable of offering clear sound, without offering more information on this section.

A whole multimedia center

In addition to the devices that connect to the monitor, users will also have access to the Samsung Gaming Hub platform, compatible with Xbox Game Pass and NVIDIA GeForce gaming services, and smart TV apps to watch their favorite TV shows without the need to to depend on external devices.

This makes the monitor, like other gaming monitors in Samsung’s Odyssey family, a media center in its own right. Those interested in acquiring it can already make their purchases from today, although its availability will also depend on each market, according to Samsung in its statement, where in any case they invite you to access its official page.
