samsung leaves no one behind: update for galaxy s7, s8

Samsung has released an update for Galaxy smartphones … S7, S8 and Note 8. Yes, you read that right, there is no typo. And this shouldn’t surprise even that much because the South Korean company in the past it has taken over “old” devices to correct problems which compromised its correct functioning. The Galaxy S8 itself was updated at the end of 2021 along with the Plus variant, as well as the S9 / S9 + in April of this year.

The update that is concerning the Galaxy S7, S8 and Note 8 these days goes far beyond the classic release windows, but Samsung has considered it appropriate to propose it to solve a problem related to the GPS. Following are the relative firmware versions:

  • Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge: G93xFXXU8EVG3
  • Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus: G95xFXXUCDVG4
  • Galaxy Note 8: N950FXXUGDVG5
