Now Samsung is taking its commitment to manufacturing premium designs a step further by recruiting Hubert H. Lee, former Director of Design for Mercedes-Benz China. High-end smartphones are not just hardware powerhouses, they are also pieces of design. If we spend more than 1,000 euros on a phone, we expect it to look good, and the manufacturers are aware of this. Samsung, Google, Apple and anyone who dares to compete with them are constantly working to produce phones that look like designer pieces of modern technology.

Hubert H. Lee Mercedes is a brand known for its luxury cars of the last few decades, and Lee himself has spent 20 years designing for the company. In early 2022, Samsung released a limited edition Mercedes-themed Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was reportedly exclusive to South Korea, as we haven’t seen the model show up anywhere in the West. It is quite possible that this was where Samsung and Hubert H. Lee began the conversations that ultimately led to this new partnership. ee will hold the position of Executive Vice President and Director of MX (Mobile eXperience) at Samsung. It can be assumed that the next Galaxy S23 already has its design closed, since we are very close to its release date. However, next year we may receive a major redesign of the Galaxy S24 series. And who knows, maybe some changes to the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5?
