Samsung Gaming Hub, the streaming video game platform, comes to Smart TVs and Smart Monitors

Samsung is launching Gaming Hub for select smart TVs in 2022, cementing itself as the first TV brand to go big on cloud gaming. Gaming Hub provides an interface to services such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, Google Stadia, and NVIDIA GeForce Now. It also integrates with Twitch. Gaming Hub is the first and only TV where you’ll find Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming app. This exclusivity, combined with the all-in-one nature of the hub, is a serious endorsement of cloud gaming. Gaming Hub will reach the following televisions:

  • 2022 Neo QLED 8K
  • 2022 Neo QLED 4K
  • 2022 QLEDs
  • Monitors Smart Monitor 2022

The rise of cloud gaming presents an exciting opportunity for smart TV manufacturers. As you probably remember, the first smart TVs eliminated the need for DVD players because they could access streaming services. Now, brands like Samsung can use cloud gaming to crowd out traditional game consoles. Now, cloud gaming requires a stable (and fairly fast) internet connection, and consumes a fair amount of data. For customers with poor internet connections, cloud gaming is tricky.
