What you see in the scattered images in this article could be the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G, a medium-low range smartphone already belonging to the next generation expected for 2024 (or at the end of 2023 at the earliest). To disseminate the first information is usually OnLeaks, in partnership with Giznext; which means that the images are most likely from CAD drawings reserved for third party case manufacturers. Many of the distinguishing features of the cheapest devices in the Samsung offer are observed, such as for example a very pronounced chin and a drip notch which houses the front camera.

Compared to the current generation, some stylistic changes are also observed, in particular a perfectly flat frame and more rounded edges. On the back we find three cameras just protruding from the back cover arranged vertically and with independent lenses from each other, accompanied only by an LED flash. Note the presence, on the lower edge, of a 3.5mm audio jack. The physical keys for power and volume are both positioned on the right edge; the source says that there will also be a fingerprint scanner on the power button.

Unfortunately there aren’t many more technical details to share: the source says the display will have a 6.44-inch diagonal, while as measures we speak of 162 by 77.5 by 8.3 mm. As the name unequivocally implies, the device will be equipped with the latest generation 5G connectivity. Considering the previous models, it is reasonable to assume that the display resolution will be at least Full HD Plus. It is more difficult to go overboard on the display technology, OLED or LCD.

It is curious that this model is among the first to be leaked for the next generation of Samsung’s a range: at the beginning of the year, the South Korean magazine The Elec had spread the indiscretion that there would not be, citing Samsung’s desire to streamline its offer and contain costs. It is possible that Samsung will simply offer the 5G variant and ditch the one with 4G LTE connectivity, whereas it has brought both options to market so far.
