Last January, samsung presented the galaxy-a02s-is-filtered-a-basic-mobile-with-a-snapdragon-processor-and-a-5000-mah-battery/">Galaxy A02, an inexpensive but interesting smartphone that already has a successor, the Galaxy A03. This new terminal follows in the wake of the previous model and part, in fact, of the same basic concept: to offer a good level of performance while maintaining a current design, a good build quality and an affordable price.
If we look at the cover image we will see that, at the design level, there are few changes. The Galaxy A03 maintains the all-screen finish and the water drop shaped notch that we saw in the previous model. The screen edges are still quite thick, although this is common to all budget smartphones.
At the rear we find, however, the most important change that the Galaxy A03 brings compared to the Galaxy A02 in terms of design, and that is the two cameras are integrated into a square island which has slightly rounded corners. This island also integrates the LED flash. In the previous generation model, the cameras were arranged vertically directly on the chassis, that is, they were not located on any island.
When it comes to build quality, the Galaxy A03 will repeat the plastic finish that we saw in the Galaxy A02, a widely used material for the value it offers in terms of resistance, quality and cost, that is, because it is cheap, reliable and resistant.
Samsung Galaxy A03 Specifications

- Unspecified SoC with an eight-core CPU divided into two blocks, one with two 1.6 GHz high-performance cores and the other with 1.6 GHz low-power six cores.
- GPU without specifying. If you use a MediaTek SoC, we will see a PowerVR or a Mali.
- 3GB-4GB of RAM.
- 32GB-64GB-128GB expandable storage capacity.
- Dual rear camera with a 48 MP f / 1.8 main lens and a 2 MP f / 2.4 secondary lens working as a depth sensor.
- 5 MP f / 2.2 front camera.
- 5,000 mAh battery.
- Measurements: 164 x 75.9 x 9.1 mm.
- Dolby Atmos sound.

This list of specifications allows us to confirm some important improvements compared to the Galaxy A02. One of the most important is the jump of a SoC MediaTek MT6739W (28 nm), with CPU of quad core Cortex-A53 at 1.5 GHz, to a more advanced one that mounts a CPU of eight cores.
Another of the most important leaps we have in the photographic section, since the new Galaxy A03 incorporates a 48 MP main camera, a very big jump in front of the main lens of 13 MP riding the Galaxy A02. The use of a 2 MP depth sensor, instead of the 2 MP macro lens of the previous generation model, also seems a success to me.
The Galaxy A03 will be available in three configurations, a basic one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage capacity, and two others with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage capacity. We can buy it in blue, black or red, and although its official price has not transcended, it is clear that it will be in the basic or entry range, and that therefore it will be an inexpensive terminal. I remind you that this model will be a cheaper version of the Galaxy A03s.
