The code is ready, the user interface is in place, the program does exactly what it should. At least that’s what the developers claim. But is the software really ready for ordinary users?
This is where the software tester comes into play. It not only checks whether the program is running without errors, but also whether it can be operated easily and intuitively – on all platforms considered. Software testers don’t just click around aimlessly for half an hour. For example, they carry out targeted unit or integration tests, must be able to reliably reproduce errors, exchange information with the developers and document everything clearly.
