Resident Evil 4: Remake gets cute anime commercial to promote launch

The release of the Resident Evil 4 remake is getting closer and closer and as if expectations weren’t already high, even more so after the great reviews from expert critics, Capcom continues to release new promotional materials for the game.

A short commercial for Resident Evil 4 Remake in Anime was released this week and it brings a very cute optic to the macabre story of the game.

Created by the famous Japanese animation studio Nippon Animation and Capcom (and released by Capcom Asia), this 1-minute animated commercial shows Leon looking for Ashley in a beautiful village before he is murdered by the village’s violent cult.

The video is called “Leon and the Mysterious Village” (Leon and the Mysterious Village) Episode 1, and it’s a funny little video that, from the comments on YouTube, is being well received by fans. You can check out the commercial below:

Even adopting a more childish look, the commercial features many of the game’s macabre references, including the dog infected with the Las Plagas parasite, the Texas Chainsaw guy and the lake’s giant salamander.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released on March 23, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series S/X. A demo of the game was released earlier this month.

So, what did you think of the new anime commercial?
