Realme UI 4.0 debuts on December 8: the roadmap of updates

Realm UI 4.0 will be officially announced on December 8th on the occasion of the international debut of Realme 10 Pro and will be released on the new range of smartphones in Europe from March 2023. Based on Android 13, the new user interface of the Chinese brand introduces many innovations in four areas: design, interaction, fluidity and safety.

Selected ideas within the realme UI Widget Co-Creation 2022 project will also be presented on December 8″ to inspire fans and designers around the world to develop innovative and interactive designs for realme UI 4.0 The company will work closely with the authors of the widgets to bring them into the new interface.

With a renewed layout, realme UI 4.0 aims above all to make the user more intuitive icons of apps for “orient yourself immediately“. The control center is optimized in a card style so as to access the most important information quickly and effectively. Also debuts a wallpaper floral with clock with shadow reflection.


Always on display is at the heart of the user experience with new features, including the AOD Bitmoji animations (showing the user’s status) and the AOD smart music: realme gives an example of the possibility of displaying the music player while listening to songs on Spotify even without necessarily having to unlock the smartphone. Not only:

  • an algorithm will recommend 4 ad hoc playlists based on the user’s musical tastes
  • by tapping the AOD twice, the music player becomes an interactive panel through which to manage listening to the songs (play/pause/forward/backward)

The Dynamic Computing Engine improves the performance of 10% while reducing energy consumption: during gaming sessions the battery improves the autonomy of the 4.7%. The result is a smoother and more satisfying user experience. Among other innovations we mention:

  • optimization of animations with Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 when switching from one app to another
  • function introduction smart home where users have one-swipe access to apps in large folders on the home screen
  • improved adaptive layouts with Waterfall Content Self-Adaption side navigation bar and full use of display space


Private Safe based on Advanced Encryption Standard offers advanced user privacy protection services, plus the new function Pixelated cars allows you to quickly pixelate personal information contained in screenshots from messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
