After several rumors and leaks, Realme made a new device official in the Chinese market: the Realme GT Neo 5. It was eagerly awaited for promising powerful specifications at a competitive price.
Among the highlights, we have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 platform and a new charging technology with a speed of 240W.
The Realme GT Neo 5 features a 6.74-inch OLED display with 1.5k resolution (2772 x 1240 pixels), support for 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM and 1400nits peak brightness.
Under the hood, the device features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 platform with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a maximum of 1TB of 1TB internal storage. For energy, Realme offers two variants with different batteries and charging speeds.
The first is more affordable and features a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 150W fast charging. The second impresses by bringing a smaller battery with 4,600 mAh, but charging speed of 240W, something unheard of in the market. According to the Chinese manufacturer, the cell phone can go from 1 to 20% battery in just 80 seconds of charge.
As for cameras, the Realme GT Neo 5 has a triple module with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor, another 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor and an unspecified 2-megapixel macro. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16-megapixel front sensor.
In design, the cell phone has RGB lighting and the user can choose more than 25 colors to customize it and a transparent part where the user can see some of the internal components of the device.
